| I finally decided to sell my baby. "NEW LOWERED PRICE 15K!!" Here is some info. about this car. Regarding the 83' 242SE Flathood, where can I start? Almost everything on the car has been rebuilt or replaced. It took me four years to build this car and lots of $$$$$. As you probably know that this car was one of 500 242TI Flathood. This two-door 242 series car arrived in the dealerships in 1983 as a result of the need to manufacture a minimum number of cars to qualify them for racing in a production class. These very rare 1983 "flat-hood" 242 Group-A Turbos whcih Volvo manufactured 500 of these cars to meet production requirements for Group-A sedan class racing in Europe. I bought this car from the original owner. She only sold it because she was moving to India. I keep the interior to its original color, blue. However, I redone all interior. New blue and black Cobra Racaing seats. New blue carpet, new door pannels, Bertone rear seats with new blue and black leather. MOMO black floor mats. Newer UNCRACKED Blue dash, Momo aluminum pedals, door sills and shift knob. Re-leathered Momo R-Sport steering wheel. R-Sport gaugages. Alpine CD stereo with Diamond speakers fronts and backs. Tinted windows which has life time warranty. Viper alarm system. The interior simply looks Awesome. The car has been newly painted to the 2000 Volvo silver. Euro lights with H4 bulbs from Australia, and new Euro two tone corner lights. New bumpers, front and back, new side molding for the entire car. Automatic sunroof opener. New black door handles. New Flathood Grill. New, later style windshield which has the attached rubber molding, and new side door windows and rear windshied. Volvo rear decor pannel. It also has the Bross body kit from Sweden which you can not get anymore from what I am told. It has 3”exhaust system with Flowmaster Stainless Steel muffler which fits the dual outlet for the rear spoiler. R-Sport springs and shock and struts. 25mm IPD sway bars. IPD under body brace. New poly-bushings. IPD under belly shield. Polished Original Volvo Polaris rims! I even powder coated the windshield wiper arms. The inside body and the trunk is lined with Dynamat type noise control liner. PolishedTurbo rim for spare. The icing on the cake is the ALUMINUM HOOD AND TRUNK LID. They are pobalbly the only ones in the US. I was able to find the Aluminum hood in Sweeden and the trunk fromm Hawaii, out of all places, who got it from SAM 16 years ago. Under the hood is cool. It has also been painted. It has rebuilt head with IPD Turbo cam which makes the car run real strong. It has been updated with later style ceramic coated titanium color intake manifold, rebuilt Garett water cooled turbo, Magnicore spark plug wires. Gel battery. Newer 134 converted A/C system. 3 row Nissen radiator with Spall 16" electric puller fan and electric Spall 12" front pusher fan. 100 amp alternator. SAM Strut brace. SAM Tower to tower brace. Chrome everywhere. It has automatic tranny which has been replaced with 1991 model. and the engine has 180K and running strong. I am sure that I am forgetting something. Like I said you need to see it to appreciate it. I get thumbs up from people who see it on the streets. I will say boldly that this is the best Modified 242 Ti in the West Coast if not coast to coast. Definitely a ONE OF A KIND. This Car has won 4 national title in the 240 modified class. 1st Place Mod. 240, 2004 VCOA West Coast National Meet 1st Place Mod. 240, 2004 VSA West Coast National Meet 1st Place Mod. 240, 2006 VSA West Coast Concourse Meet 1st Place Mod. 240, 2007 VSA West Coast Concourse Meet. It is in the MASTER'S Class. You can see more pix from the www.scvcoa.org site. Thanks, |
Note: Some of the pix below were taken before the Aluminum Hood & Trunk Lids and Polaris Rims were installed. I still have the Original Group-A Spoiler. However, I did not install it on the Aluminum Trunk Lid since I did not want to make holes on it. I will include it in the sale. Best regards, |
